WHAT IS COMPUTER?

Nowadays computer has become very important part of every one's life, no matter where you are in this world, in each and every field you will find that computer is used everywhere so, it is necessary to have basic information about computers and how it works.

so, what is computer?

A computer is an electronic device which performs calculation,processes, and operation based on instruction provided by a software or hardware

Charles Babbage a mechanical engineer considered father of computer, he invented first mechanical computer in 19th century. computers main function are to gather data, process/calculate data, to output data in suitable form and last to store that data and information for later use.when you say input data that means a data is being imputed using keyboard, mouse and other output devices, when you say data process that means data is being processed by CPU(central processing unit), a CPU is called brain of computer as it process the data and give  meaningful output, output is shown on a display which is called monitor.
